guys, why don't to put a to of devices inside an fpga, and to use a real 68SEC000 @ 3.3V ?
the pcb will be smaller, faster, and with more fun about development

personally i'd like to use the papilo/pro, realizing an interface (a PCB) to 68SEC000 plus a NvRAM (of better, a FeRAM) block
something like 2/8Mbyte

Daughter boards are under development, but as Simon says the point of the project isn't to cram everything into an FPGA, everybody and his dog does that. There are a lot more things to overcome when plugging a boat load of chips together and getting something functional at the end of it and it so much more challenging and satisfying. It is about the journey as much as the end result, its old school design.

Plus doing FPGA stuff is to much like the day job.

there is no one good project on the internet about 68k and fpga

they have been planned to replace Amiga & Atari for gaming purposes instead of development purposes
btw note, the minimig costs the half !

Both are FPGA based. Thus you can modify it as you like. Thats what tinkering is about.
Btw, the Minimig is much smaller with less (hard to get) parts. You can't compare an Oldtimer with a recent budget car.
