VGA mode

Postby simon » Tue Jun 12, 2018 10:13 am

Hello Kiwi fellows,

recently I could lay my hands on an old Amiga M1438S MultiScan monitor. Thanks a lot for that valuable donation... :)

Well, I started to code for the VGA mode. It still looks a bit like vertical scanlines and is not usable. Well, I have to check, what causes these lines.

Has anyone used VGA mode yet?

Simon

I've not looked at the VGA mode myself. Did you get it working at all?

I haven't made progress here. Eventually I've checked, that it outputs 31kHz. That is fine... Thus the lines are a different issue. It may be a wrong use of the palette. Or it may be a partly fried V9990. What I don't believe. But (maybe with minor changes in software) I can test VGA with the rev. 1 Kiwi, too, if I can't find a bug in my software.
