Re: EPROM Emulator

I use gEDA. I think you should start reading the website and forums. I could answer almost every of your questions with a link. ;)

10MBit/s what for? For a 32kb Eprom simulator? That makes as much sense as using a Ferrari to visit your neighbour.

Re: New hardware revision?

I am sorry, but there are no Eagle Design files. You would have to create your own from the provided schematics. The ethernet part isn't very complex...

Re: Who wants a Kiwi?

It depends on how much you get with the kit itself (probably you like to get a PSU too at least). I guess shipping to Italy will be 20€ maximum.

Re: New hardware revision?

Sure there are reasons for everything I choose. If you read just the second sentence on the first page, you'll get it almost: "The intention was rather to start another FPGA based project, but to design a classic computer with dedicated controllers and a count of 74 TTL chips." I don't thi...

Re: Who wants a Kiwi?

The shop is online. You can get your kit if you like. But I would have to prepare new kits first which is not before next week probably. You are welcome to join out community. The only useful task I could see at the moment with your setup up, is to try to convert the EhBASIC sources to GNU. Everythi...

Re: New hardware revision?

It's always too expensive. Sorry to say that, but the PCB of my very first prototype was 300€. The bare PCB without any parts. People complained about the price when my system had a value of around 600€. They complain after I could cut down the costs to the half and they will still complain if it wo...

Re: Porting EhBASIC to gcc?

Well, there is EmuTOS which runs pretty well in console mode. This is written in c and can be compiled with gcc m68k-elf or m68k-mint. We don't like to use other assemblers as well. This is whiy this thread exists, as you can guess. But for me there is no really need to fiddle around with EhBASIC si...

Re: New hardware revision?

Well, I can only speak for myself, but the fun isn't to write VHDL/Verilog code, but to tinker with real hardware. Even highest speed wasn't my initial goal when I started to design the Kiwi.
