Re: VGA mode

I haven't made progress here. Eventually I've checked, that it outputs 31kHz. That is fine... Thus the lines are a different issue. It may be a wrong use of the palette. Or it may be a partly fried V9990. What I don't believe. But (maybe with minor changes in software) I can test VGA with the rev. 1...

VGA mode

Hello Kiwi fellows, recently I could lay my hands on an old Amiga M1438S MultiScan monitor. Thanks a lot for that valuable donation... :) Well, I started to code for the VGA mode. It still looks a bit like vertical scanlines and is not usable. Well, I have to check, what causes these lines. Has anyo...

Filled vector graphics

Merry Christmas!

Christmas time, tinkering time. ;) My Christmas present is a triangle rasterizer for our Kiwis. :)

There is still much room for improvement, but you might have some free time, too. Thus I just give it to you... :)

Re: Gerber files for the Kiwi computer?

Sorry, I've been very busy lately. But finally I am on vacation now. :)

You'll find the rev. 2 gerber files in the download area now.

Re: SMSQ/E

Welcome Derek! I remember the Q60. Wasn't it a successor of the Q40? Back in the days I almost bought one. Not because I grew up with the QL, but because I like the 68k family of CPUs. I still have boards of the Kiwi and only some CPLDs are missing. However I am far behind my schedule of producing a...

Re: SMSQ/E

Too bad, Chris.

Oh wow, I didn't know the Gryphon neither that website. :) So far a nice design, as I can read.
I just wanted to register on their website. To promote the Kiwi and participate the community. But unfortunately they are blacklisted and my mailserver cancels mails from them.

Re: SMSQ/E

Chris, really? I have found the Q40/Q60 on the net more than a decade ago. It was pretty impressive. And expensive... ;) I once had the idea of an ATX (or other standard form factors) PCB with a 68k and other stuff to build an 68k motherboard with ISA or even PCI bus. Well, in the end there is somet...

Re: SMSQ/E

This looks quite interesting. Thank you for the links. In general: if there are sources and the OS itself is suited for these "slow" maschines, it could be ported to Kiwi. But it would not run out of the box as the hardware is too different. In the end, it all depends on the users: It migh...

Re: GUI app

Hamterm has now it's own subversion repository. Feel free to fork and use it as base for a Kiwi GUI framework. :-)
