Re: SID dump file format

I pretty much like the format, Steve. But I have problems to play a generated tune. Could you look at the attachment and check my code for errors? I tried two different tunes I used somewhere else. The actual player is in ISR1. I wonder if I made a mistake or if there is a disorder in setting the re...

Re: SID dump file format

Thank you Steve, I haven't the time to test your code yet. I'll do this in the next days. Indeed, it would be nice to get an editable format out from the siddump. But this is not that trivial as the program would have to analyse the player routine to get more information about the SID data. The goal...

Re: kiwi pcb design file

Did see this posting only now. We use gEDA for editing schematics and generating the PCB as described here . The sources for gschem - actually the complete hardware project directory including VHDL code - are available at the member area of the forum as stated here . Latter posting is from 2012 but ...

Re: repo

It is senseless. We don't need to release sources at all behind the necessary parts of the system. Linux is open source but not every Linux application is. As said before, we will release sources of different projects to the public when they are ready to be released. Latter is up to us when we will ...

Re: repo

You never had to buy the kit from me. If you have read the forum and the license you would know that you are free to build it on your own. Get all parts etc. You already have access to all that you need for that task. That is btw what Steve and Chis did. If you want to modify the schematics I am pre...

Re: repo

It might be too expensive for you, but bull shit and useless? Just one warning: Don't get rude! Next time you will be kicked. There is plenty information around here. No need for access to the repositories. Most people see this... But we go round in circles. That you really didn't read the threads h...

Re: repo

I don't get your point. It's a tinkering project and never was ment as a ready off-the-shelf product. That it is available as a kit one can buy is the result of the demand. I could cut down the costs in half compared to my very first prototype. Everyone can get the PCB files if he or she is a regist...

Re: repo

I am sorry, but then the Kiwi isn't suited for you.

The Yamaha VDP is a nice chip. But you've just picked the most expensive part of Kiwi beside the PCB. :)

The repositories will be kept closed. I have read too many promises just to find our work somewhere else without getting credit later.

Re: New hardware revision?

Both are FPGA based. Thus you can modify it as you like. Thats what tinkering is about.
Btw, the Minimig is much smaller with less (hard to get) parts. You can't compare an Oldtimer with a recent budget car.

Re: repo

Because most code is under development and uses more than one specific part of Kiwi. We will eventually release code to the public download area when its ready. But for now it makes only sense to those who can test and/or work on the in-development projects. For the cs8900a its really the best to st...
