Loving the latest videos showing the GEM interface, I am surprised how responsive it is. Great work Simon.

Re: Gerber files for the Kiwi computer?

Hi,

I do not believe the latest ones have been released, I checked the SVN and they do not appear on there.

Re: SMSQ/E

Chris, really? I have found the Q40/Q60 on the net more than a decade ago. It was pretty impressive. Well, in the end there is some...

Micrium RTOS

Micrium has now made this free to makers and hobbyist. I've been dabbling with it a little before using the ide68k as it has some examples of how to use it, it is an interesting thing to play with.

Re: repo

1) costs a total of 350-400 euro - true but its only an issue to you 2) has no good documentation - also true but then again google the spec sheets for the chips (you're just being lazy) 3) has no public repositories - true - but you only want to take the code for your project anway, Simon pointed y...

Re: New hardware revision?

MC68020/030 could be forced to work as 8bit bus device, so … it should be nice to realize an accelerator for kiwi, just putting the 030 on the 68008 socket guys, why don't to put a to of devices inside an fpga, and to use a real 68SEC000 @ 3.3V ? the pcb will be smaller, faster, and with more fun a...
